Project Enlist

Helmets to Hardhats Canada® (H2H)

H2H has been incorporated in Canada as a Not for Profit Organization. It is similar to its sister H2H program in the United States, but is designed to provide an opportunity in Canada for anyone who has served (or is currently serving and looking to transition to a civilian career) in either the Regular or Reserve Force Components of the Canadian Forces. Veterans Emergency Transition Services

Working within the community, VETS Canada members attempt to move veterans from the streets or shelters into affordable housing (if available). VeteranVoice.info (VVi) exists to help keep all veterans and Canadian Armed Forces members, soldiers, sailors, air personnel, and their families informed. Veterans Food Drive

Since 2007, the Canadian Legacy Project has presented the Annual Veterans Food Drive in support of the Veterans Food Bank and the Calgary Poppy Fund. The support we’ve received from the Calgary community has been amazing and we’ve successfully filled two warehouses with food at the Calgary Veterans Food Bank annually, which equates to roughly $300,000 in food donations. As a part of this fundraising initiative we also receive cash donations which are used to purchase Calgary Co-Op food cards which veterans can use to purchase fresh produce, meats, and pharmaceutical products. https://veteransassociationfoodbank.ca/

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing the worsening of an existing mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Veterans Transition Network

The Veterans Transition Network is the only Canadian charity delivering mental health services specifically for Veterans from coast to coast.  Since its inception, the Veterans Transition Program (VTP) has maintained the belief that soldiers are best served by other soldiers.  Many veterans fear the consequences an operational-stress injury could have on their military record and future career prospects.  Thus, it was important to ensure in the expansion of the VTP that this confidentiality was protected, and that though grants were sought to enable the growth of the program. https://vtncanada.org/

Veteran’s House Canada: Helping Homeless Veterans

Veterans’ House Canada has launched the $25M Helping Homeless Veterans Campaign. Our goal is to build 4 more permanent residences, with supportive programs, to assist a significant proportion of the 3,000 – 5,000 homeless veterans in need across Canada. The first building opened on February 1st, 2021 in Ottawa.
