UBIQUE 150 “Good Shooting” Video Contest

Entry Deadline and Prizes

  • Entries accepted from 1 January – 30 April 2021
  • Judging starts 1 May 2021
  • Winners will be announced on Artillery Day (26 May 2021)
  • Prizes will be awarded to those judged the top three entries: 1st place prize will be $2,000; 2nd place prize will be $1000; 3rd place prize will be $500.
  • Videos in whole or in part become the property of The Royal Canadian Artillery Association.

Regimental Photo Contest

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to all members of the Regimental Family

Topic

  • Prizes for the Regimental Photo Contest are awarded for the best artillery-related photograph

Entry Deadline and Prizes

  • Entry deadlines are end March, June, September and December.  Any photo arriving after the deadline will be added to the next contest
  • Entries may be submitted directly to the Regimental Adjutant RCA
  • The contest is held four times per fiscal year with the winner receiving $100 and photo published on the website
  • Photographs entered in the contest become the property of RHQ RCA and may be published in Regimental publications and on the website

The Colonel Geoffrey Brooks Memorial Essay Competition

Colonel E.G. Brooks was an accomplished officer of The Royal Regiment who was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for his actions as a Major in 6th Field Regiment RCA on 26 February 1945 during Operation BLOCKBUSTER when, the Commanding Officer of his supported battalion, the Cameron Highlanders, having been killed by a sniper, he took command and controlled the operations of the forward companies until the arrival of the battalion second-in-command. Eligibility

  • The contest is open to all serving and retired military personnel and students attending post-secondary educational institutes.

Topic

  • The essay can be on any topic of military history or specific military interest that pertains to The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery.

Entry Deadline and Prizes

  • Entries must reach RHQ RCA by 30 November for each year
  • $1000.00 in prizes will be awarded. (1st Prize -$500; 2nd Prize -$300; and 3rd Prize – $200)
