1 April 2021 – UBIQUE 150 LAUNCH, 1st CANADIAN DIVISION

1st Cdn Div Gunners proudly participated in the #UBIQUE150 Patch Ceremony on April 1st 2021 at Fort Frontenac, Canadian Forces Base Kingston / Base des Forces canadiennes de Kingston.

UBIQUE150 celebrates the 150th anniversary, of the establishment of “A” and “B” Batteries, considered the first full-time or regular elements of the post-Confederation Canadian Army, a significant Canadian military milestone.
Today, the Royal Canadian Artillery has been and will remain a key and effective capability of the Canadian Army. “A” and “B” Batteries of 1st Regiment Royal Canadian Horse Artillery are direct descendants of the two batteries formed in 1871. The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery celebrates its Kingston roots, the connections with Fort Henry and Fort Frontenac.
The event includes all Gunners, Attached arms and in our case the 1 Cdn Div HQ Divisional Artillery (Joint Effects Branch).
UBIQUE 150 is an initiative recognized under the Operation TRIBUTE/ DISTINCTION umbrella.
